Origin:
Our Combava comes from the eastern region of Madagascar
Production:
Combava powder is the dried and ground zest of the citrus fruit. The combava peels should curl and become stiff when dehydrated. We pass the combava peel through a grinding machine until we obtain a fine powder. If necessary, we sieve until we obtain a fine powder.
Characteristics
Combava is used in cooking for its unique aroma. Its very strong citrus flavor makes it easy to finish poultry recipes. Very acidic, the flesh of the combava is rarely consumed. On the other hand, its peel is widely used in cooking to flavor many sweet and savory dishes. Its powerful taste is reminiscent of ginger, lemongrass and coriander
Benefits:
Anti-inflammatory. Like its cousin lemon, combava has anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its vitamin C content. This vitamin will allow you to fight against the small aches of winter and is a very good antioxidant for the body.
Uses:
In recipes of shellfish with coconut milk, Combava powder balances well the spiciness of the chili and the smoothness of the coconut milk. Always add a pinch of ground Combava at the end of your various preparations.
