Origin:
Patchouli is planted in the eastern region of Madagascar.
It is very famous in perfumery, is used as a base note in many feminine or masculine perfumes.

Obtained:
Patchouli Essential Oil is obtained by distilling the leaves.
Characteristics:
Patchouli essential oil has an oriental scent, a mixture of woody and spicy notes.
Patchouli has a powerful, woody, earthy and dry scent with smoky, camphorated, liquorice and even musty accents.
Benefits:
Patchouli essential oil tones the vein walls and activates blood and lymphatic circulation. It is thus very useful in the disorders of the circulation: heavy legs, hemorrhoids, varicose veins, oedemas, cellulite, water retention
Decongestant
It relieves the prostate in men and the small pelvis in women.
Stimulating and nervous balancing
The essential oil of patchouli promotes emotional control and concentration.
It is invigorating when used in low doses and sedative when used in high doses.
It will be thus useful against the anguish, the anxiety, the nervous, physical and sexual tiredness, the nervousness, the sleep disorders, the stress and the overwork.

Uses:
Against heavy legs:
By cutaneous way, 3 drops of essential oil of Patchouli in 3 drops of vegetable oil to be applied in massage to the legs from bottom to top, 3 times a day.
Reserved for children over 6 years old. Repeat 3 times a day until improvement. Massage the legs starting from the ankles and working upwards with 4 to 6 drops of this mixture:
In case of Varicose veins: By cutaneous way, 3 drops of essential oil of Patchouli in 3 drops of vegetable oil to be applied in massage on the legs from bottom to top, 3 times per day.
In case of Escarre, Cracks:
By cutaneous way, 1 drop of Patchouli in 4 drops of vegetable oil (Calophylle inophyle preferably) to apply 2 times per day on the affected area.
Against Acne:
By cutaneous way, 1 pure drop of EO of Patchouli applied on the buttons with a cotton swab, 2 times per day.
In case of Eczema:
By cutaneous way, 1 drop of Patchouli in 4 drops of vegetable oil on the affected areas, 2 times a day, until improvement.
Against Hemorrhoids:
In cutaneous application, 1 drop of essential oil of Patchouli diluted in 9 drops of vegetable oil, to be applied on the hemorrhoid, after the shower and after each bowel movement until disappearance.
Against the fatty Skin:
By cutaneous way, 1 drop of Patchouli in a hazelnut of neutral cream to apply to the concerned zones.
