Ginger essential oil is highly sought after in perfumery for its olfactory qualities as well as in cosmetics and aromatherapy for its therapeutic virtues.
Ginger essential oil is obtained by distilling freshly harvested rhizomes.
The rhizomes are crushed in order to obtain a paste which will be used as raw material for the distillation.

It has notably aperitive and stomachic properties.
Rich in analgesic and anti-inflammatory compounds, useful in case of muscular and articular pains.
Thanks to the monoterpenes that it contains, the essential oil of ginger is a powerful digestive tonic which accelerates the passage of the food bowl.

The anti-inflammatory properties of ginger oil are related to its richness in sesquiterpenes and in particular gingerols and gingerenones which inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins.
The analgesic properties of ginger are attributed to the gingerols that inhibit the synthesis of leukotrienes. It is also one of the most powerful antioxidants.
A physical relaxant
Present in large quantities in the oil, sesquiterpenes are active on the central nervous system: they are molecules with hypotensive, analgesic, relaxing and sedative properties.
A sexual and cerebral tonic
Its richness in zingiberene and arylalkanes make ginger essential oil a remarkable tonic.
Dermally, 3 drops of Ginger essential oil in 12 drops of vegetable oil in application along the spine and lower back, 2 times a day for 10 days.
Orally, 1 drop of Ginger essential oil on a neutral tablet every morning.
Premenstrual pain: dilute the essential oil of ginger in a vegetable oil and massage the concerned part. The massage must be carried out at the level of the bottom of the belly.
